Canis Lamb Lung is dried lamb lung in pieces. Lung tissue is full of tiny air pockets, so dried lung is light and porous. It contains no bones and a piece breaks easily. Choose a 100 or 400 gram bag.
Which dogs is lamb lung suitable for?
- Any size: once broken, the portion suits a small dog as well as a large one.
- Puppies and older dogs: the soft, brittle texture is pleasant for young or older teeth.
- Dogs that cannot have beef: lamb is then a logical alternative protein source.
Tip: break the whole bag at once
At home, break the lung into training-sized pieces and keep them in a closed container, so you never have crumbs in your coat pocket. Weigh out the day's portion too: lung is so light that a handful looks like very little. All treats together should ideally stay below about 10 percent of the daily energy. Give a dog that gulps small pieces rather than one big piece. Read more in the lung buying guide.
