Canis Horse Head Skin is dried skin from the head of the horse, in a 200 gram or 1000 gram bag. Head skin is firm and rich in protein and gives your dog something to chew on. Horse is a logical alternative if your dog does not tolerate beef well. The head skin is intended for adult dogs.
Why horse head skin?
- No beef: beef is one of the protein sources most often linked to food allergy; horse is then an option to try.
- Two bag sizes: 200 grams to get acquainted, 1000 grams once your dog tolerates it well.
- Firm chewing: suitable for dogs that like to chew, not for puppies while their teeth are changing.
How to give head skin
Choose a piece that is clearly bigger than what your dog could swallow in one go. Chewing on dried skin makes dogs thirsty, so put out fresh water. Head skin is filling and counts towards the day's treats. You will find more single-protein treats under horse, and all types of head skin in the head skin buying guide.
