Is a buffalo foot safe?

• Hard material: if you cannot make a dent in a treat with your thumbnail, it is hard. Dogs that bite down fanatically can damage a tooth on it.
• Never cooked: give a dried foot as it is; cooked bones can splinter.
• Size: the foot must be too big to swallow in one go.
• Age: for adult dogs only, not during teething.

Giving and storing

Stay nearby while your dog chews and remove splinters, sharp edges and the last piece in time. Put out fresh water. Store the foot dry, cool and closed, and throw it away if it smells odd.
