Canis Horse Head Skin Plates

Canis Horse Head Skin Plates are flat pieces of dried horse head skin. A plate is firm and easy to hold, which makes it a good fit for dogs that prefer nibbling to destroying. You get a 500 gram bag; the plates are intended for adult dogs.

What makes a plate handy?

• Easy to hold: your dog can clamp the plate between its front paws and gnaw bits off it.
• Medium chewing time: shorter than with a long roll, which makes it handy as an in-between treat.
• Horse: a protein source to try if your dog does not tolerate beef well.

Giving and storing

Stay nearby while your dog chews and remove the last small piece before it is swallowed whole. Chewing on skin makes dogs thirsty, so put out fresh water. Do not give to puppies while their teeth are changing. Store the plates dry, sealed and out of the sun, and count them towards the day's treats. All forms of head skin are in the head skin buying guide.
