Canis Beef Heart

Canis Beef Heart is dried beef heart, in pieces. The heart is a muscle, so it is more like firm meat than liver. Your dog has a bit of chewing to do, without it being as hard as a bone. Choose between 200 or 1000 grams.
When should you choose beef heart?
- A reward with some chewing: a piece of heart is firmer than a soft treat and lasts a little longer.
- Alternating with liver: liver is best given in moderation, and heart is a logical organ to alternate with.
- Adult dogs: intended for adult dogs that tolerate beef well.
How much and how to give it
Dried organ meat is concentrated, so a few pieces quickly count towards the roughly 10 percent of daily energy that applies to treats. If it is new to your dog, start small: some dogs get softer stools at first. Give larger pieces under supervision and put out fresh water. Read more about heart, liver and stomach in the organ meat buying guide.
