Which dogs is a natural hoof for?

• Medium and large dogs: a beef hoof is sized for a somewhat bigger mouth.
• Calm gnawers: a hoof is hard. A dog that bites down fanatically can break a molar on it.
• Adult teeth: do not give it to puppies whose teeth are changing or to dogs with weak teeth.

Giving and storing

Stay with your dog while they gnaw and take the hoof away if sharp edges or loose bits appear. The last piece always goes. A hoof has its own smell, especially when it gets wet with saliva.
