Canis Freeze-dried Lamb Lung Trainers are small pieces of freeze-dried lamb lung. This way of drying usually makes them even lighter and more crumbly than regular dried lung. A bag contains 60 gram, and because lung weighs so little, that is more than it sounds.
What do you use these trainers for?
- Training: a small, light bite you can hand out quickly without your dog having to chew for long.
- Puppies: broken into crumbs, they also suit a puppy that still has everything to learn.
- Older dogs: the soft, brittle texture asks little of the teeth.
- No beef: lamb is an alternative if your dog does not tolerate beef well.
How to give and store them
Count the trainers as part of the daily amount: all treats together should preferably stay below about 10 percent of the energy per day. On a training day, give a little less main food. Close the bag well after use, because moisture makes freeze-dried lung tough. Fresh water should always be available. Read more about lung as a treat in the lung buying guide.
