Canis Deer Antler XL (226-275 grams)

Canis Deer Antler XL (226-275 grams) is a very large piece of deer antler weighing 226 to 275 grams. Because of that size it is intended for large dogs that gnaw calmly. Antler is very hard, so a large dog can work on it for a long time without much of it disappearing.

When do you throw the antler away?

• Too small: once the piece is small enough for your dog to swallow, take it away.
• Sharp edges: if you see splinters or sharp points, throw it away as well.
• Signs from the teeth: a broken tooth, blood or chewing on one side only is a reason to stop and see your vet.

Storing between chewing sessions

Store the antler dry and sealed, out of the sun, and put it back in a clean spot after a chewing session. Give XL only to adult dogs, not while the teeth are changing, and always put out fresh water. How XL compares with the other sizes is shown in the antler and horn buying guide.
