Canis Cod Skin

Canis Cod Skin is dried cod skin in flat, thin pieces. The skin is crunchy and breaks easily, and cod is a lean white fish. That makes this a good first introduction to fish skin, for small dogs too. Choose 100 or 500 grams.

Why cod skin?

• No bones: fish skin contains no bone and is much less hard than antler or hooves.
• For small dogs and puppies: during teething, thin pieces are a softer choice than hard chews.
• Easy to portion: break a piece into small bites as a reward on the go.

Giving and storing

Large dogs sometimes wolf down flat pieces quickly, so stay close and remove the last small bit. Put out fresh water. Keep the skin dry, cool and tightly closed so it stays crunchy and the fishy smell is limited. All treats together should stay around 10 percent of the daily energy.
